Wellington (Somerset) Churchwardens Accounts 1611-1637 & 1656-1683

These Churchwardens Accounts are of particular interest to those researching early Wellington ancestors because the earliest parish register of births, marriages and deaths does not commence until 1683. St Thomas, Crookes 1859-1973, St Mary Walkley 1880-1901 and Wadsley Church 1835-1903 (7th May 1891 to 11th January 1895 missing) Burial Records

Transcriptions of burials in three parish churchyards in north west Sheffield. The Wadsley records contain a number of burials of patients of the nearby South Yorkshire Lunatic Asylum (later Middlewood Hospital). Burials between 7th May 1891 and 11th January 1895 have not been transcribed because the register cannot be located.

St Peter and St Paul (Cathedral) Marriages 1837-1841

Transcriptions of 3,500 marriages in the register of the parish church of St Peter and St Paul from 2nd July 1837 to 25th October 1841 inclusive. This was the principal parish church in Sheffield at this time and is now Sheffield Cathedral.

St Michael & All Angels Neepsend Marriages 1868-1942

Full transcription of the entries in the marriage register of this church which served a parish in the industrial corridor of the Upper Don Valley. Population shift resulted in the closure of the church which was demolished in 1955.
