The books listed in this section fall into three categories: 1. A selection of books mainly by the local author, Ian Bishop. The "Around" series feature photographs from the early decades of the 20th century whilst the "Then and Now" series feature photographs from both the early and late 20th century on facing pages, illustrating the changes to buildings and streets during the intervening years. 2. Chapman Records Cameos, written and published by Colin Chapman. A very authoritative series of books, designed to raise awareness of the less often used source materials that can be useful to family historians. 3. Miscellaneous booklets, compiled and published the Bristol and Avon Family History Society.
