County Volumes / Domesday Book - Volumes 18-35

The Domesday Book is the earliest comprehensive survey of land ownership in England. Compiled in 1086, it lists all manorial lords, and gives details of their property. Phillimore and Co have now published a modern translation in county volumes at affordable prices. (General Editor John Morris, Limp edition).
