Please note that some of the monuments in Pickering Cemetery have disappeared, for various reasons, such as poor quality stone having weathered and worn away. Some have just got buried beneath the undergrowth. In some cases, we have been able to find hidden stones and have lifted them to read the inscriptions, then replaced them, for safety, where they were. Some have, sadly, suffered from vandalism.
