Hornsey, St Mary - Monumental Inscriptions

One of our series of Monumental Inscriptions, this 84-page A5 illustrated booklet contains the monumental inscriptions of St Mary, Hornsey. This area was in the county of Middlesex but is now in the London Borough of Haringey. Those in the churchyard were initially collected together by LWMFHS members in 1985; this research has been revised and updated. The booklet contains plans of all sections of the churchyard showing where the memorials were situated. Those memorials which were originally in the church have been pieced together using a variety of written sources, from Daniel Lyson’s collection from the 1780s to those of a local school in the 1970s, and these are included in the booklet too.
