A list of the street names in the Census Returns
A5 illustrated booklets containing the monumental inscriptions, both inside and outside a particular church, which were initially transcribed by LWMFHS members in the 1980s.
Welcome to the London Westminster & Middlesex Family History Society's GenFair stall. Our Society's area comprises the City of London, the City of Westminster and the London Boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, Harrow and Islington, together with parts of Ealing and Hillingdon. We aim to bring together all family historians with an interest in this area, whether beginners or experienced researchers.
Monthly meetings are held at our three branches, Barnet and Harrow in person and online at our popular Virtual Branch. Talks of genealogical or local interest are given and like-minded historians can help each other with their research. The Society publishes a quarterly journal, METROPOLITAN. Members Interests are published in our journal but are also fully searchable on our website for everyone.
We are publishing a series of Parish Guides. The purpose of these is to assemble in one booklet a list of the main records of each Ancient Parish in our area and where these can be found, whether they be original hard-copy records or on the internet, in order to inspire family historians and help them locate mentions of their ancestors.
Our Monumental Inscription booklets detail churchyards which recorded by our members, usually in the 1980s. There are often plans of the graveyards included which can help you locate the stones, and more recent memorials are also included.
