About Us

Our Society covers Holland, Kesteven and Lindsey, the three parts of the Historic County of Lincolnshire. Founded in 1990, the Society now has over 1500 members worldwide and in the year 2000 we leased premises in central Lincoln.

All members of the Society and visitors are welcome to all the meetings and activities arranged by our Branches in Bourne, Grantham, Great Grimsby, Lincoln, and London.

The Society also arranges regular events including two very successful Weekend Conferences incorporating the Federation of Family History Societies General Meetings.

New members receive full details of the services we provide. Our quarterly journal keeps everyone informed of all Society activities with interesting articles and lists of our members' interests. The Members Only Area (MOA) of our website gives access to transcriptions of sources that are not available online. For further information please visit our Web Site.

Lincolnshire is a large County with hundreds of small Parishes. Many of our publications are indexed by Deanery and Registration District. We therefore recommend the following item:

Lincolnshire Research Pack, consisting of two publications: "A Gazetteer of Historic Lincolnshire" and "Registration Districts of Lincolnshire in 19th Century, Deanery Map & Listings". Product Ref: LIN-008B
