About Us

Legini Press is the business name of the partnership Nigel & Caroline Webb, authors, editors and publishers.

Nigel Webb was particularly fortunate to inherit several family diaries: that of Samuel Medley, butler to the British ambassador to Constantinople in the 1730s; the holiday diaries of George Webb Medley in the 1850s; the journal of Sarah Ogden, wife of a Midlands bank manager in Leicester, Uppingham and Grantham, also in the 1850s; the extraordinary accounts of colonial Nigeria and Leicestershire cricket by Nigel's father, Geoffrey Webb in the first half of the 20th century.

Much of this original material is available from the Legini Press web site as free downloads.

The books by Nigel and Caroline are inspired and enriched by these diaries or, in the case of Caroline's 'Visitors to Verona', by the accounts of travellers to that beautiful city.
