The Entwistle Family History Association was formed in 1999 with the aim of bringing together Entwistles and descendants of Entwistles who wanted to find out more about their family roots. Many of our world-wide members are not surnamed Entwistle but somewhere back in their family tree the name appears in one of its several spellings.
Our website has many interesting articles including the origin of the name, local history and stories of people with the name Entwistle. There is a separate section for members only in which we have databases of Entwistle births, marriages and deaths extracted from many sources plus a large collection of other information relevant to the name Entwistle such as wills, directory and census information.
We publish a quarterly magazine for members, Twissle Times.
