This is much more than a transcript of the parish registers in that not only were the registers used but also Bishop’s Transcripts to fill in a number of gaps. Added to this the author has also made notes relating to some of the entries from various wills, marriage licences and other documents. As this book was compiled in 1898 it contains a number of notes from wills that were destroyed in the Second World War.

This is an excellent publication for those interested in the local and family history of Street.
