Quarter Session Records are one of the most useful sources for both Local and Family Historians, as they mostly deal with the less serious crimes that occurred in the county. Ranging from the parish officers presenting the father of an illegitimate child, settlement cases, rent and rate disputes, theft, lewd behaviour and fighting to name a few. This volume was produced by the Somerset Record Society in 1912 and is an invaluable source.
