Horatia Nelson Thompson was born at 23 Piccadilly on 29 January 1801. Her mother was Emma, Lady Hamilton and her father was national hero, Admiral Horatio Nelson. The talk was presented by Lily Styles, Horatia’s 3rd great-granddaughter and founder of the Emma Hamilton Society.

Emma Hamilton’s spurning by the British Government impoverished Horatia and ultimately drove her to Pinner. Horatia died in Pinner and is buried in Paines Lane Cemetery.
