A transcription by members of the Kent Family History Society Medway Branch of the cremation registers held by Medway Council Bereavement Services, Cremations from 1959-1980 were issued on CD40 and later cremations to 1984 on CD40A, both are available to download. More than 52,700 cremations include not only residents of the Medway Towns (Chatham, Rochester, Gillingham, Rainham, Strood etc), but also residents of Maidstone, Gravesend, Dartford, Sittingbourne and many other places in North Kent, who were cremated at the crematorium.
