This book contains a number of different surveys the first being the surviving Rolls of fees according to inquests before Lord John de Kirebie, treasurer to Edward I, for Somerset and Dorset carried out circa 1286. It also includes the Nomina Villarum which is a survey carried out in 1316 and contains a list of Somerset cities, boroughs and townships and the Lords of them. Another roll is the Exchequer Lay Subsidy for Somerset 1327/28 which contains hundreds of names. There is also a list of Hundreds and parishes of Somerset found in the 1841 census. Parts of the book are in Latin but can fairly easily be translated. Fully searchable.
