Volume one deals with the Civil History of the city. Volume two with the Ecclesiastical History Volume three with Civil and Modern (to 1882) History.

Each volume is packed with historical information relating to all aspects of this proud city's past. This fully searchable book is one that should be in the collection of everyone who has an interest or connection with Bristol.

Please note that it has been pointed out to me that pages viii and ix of the general index of volume one is missing. The missing page covers the letters R to Z. I have checked my original scans and it does not appear in them so I must assume that it was missing from the volume that I had. It is possible that it was never included in the published version. However, whist inconvenient, it is not a disaster as the search facility in Acrobat Reader should pick up any words that you are looking for.
