The author has made many years of special study of the Romany families who lived in and travelled through Surrey. This book is a distillation of that knowledge. It’s in the form of an essential checklist of books, magazine and newspaper articles and items from the Journal of the Gypsy Lore Society and Romany Routes (the journal of the Romany and Traveller Family History Society) that contain references to the county’s travelling people. It includes photos of families and encampments at Epsom, taken in the inter-war years, 1919-1939.
