Monumental Inscriptions of the Church and Churchyard and Cemetery of St. Michael's, Dalston

Edited by James Wilson, M.A., Vicar. Published in 1890. Transcripts of the monumental inscriptions in the church and churchyard and cemetery of St. Michael's, Dalston. The transcriptions of the M.Is. in the churchyard were completed in 1888. It is therefore highly likely that more than a few of the headstones are now illegible and these transcripts provide an unique reference to those lost inscriptions. The transcriptions of the M.Is in the cemetery were completed in 1889 and as above may contain transcripts of stones now illegible. In addition the section of notes provide useful further information about those buried in the churchyard giving information such as occupation, family connections, and various snippets of interesting information. An index of names is also provided. An extremely useful source for both family and local history research. Machine Searchable. A digital version of the original book, in PDF format.
