Airmyn- Dade Registers 1798 to 1812
From 1776 a new registration procedure was adopted by many Yorkshire parishes, which had been promoted by William Markham, Archbishop of York and based on the suggestions of William Dade a Yorkshire clergyman. Airmyn St David began to use this new format from 1798 until December 1812, recording not only the name of the child but in some cases the date of birth, father and a grandfather name abodes and occupations, mothers name and details of the mother's parents.
